Local Plastic
This project is part of the Hangang Art Park initiative, installing outdoor furniture on the banks of the Han River in Seoul, with the aim of restoring a sense of rest to the citizens of Seoul. As the sub title "Local Plastic" suggests, the installations were made from recycled plastic materials, in collaboration with recycling companies that handle Seoul city's waste. Beyond just recycling discarded plastic materials, the project seeks to convey the idea of reconnecting broken systems through small links within the community. By proposing a space that offers rest to the people of Seoul using 'Seoul's waste', it hopes to provide an experience where individuals can fully sense 'Seoul' through the materials of a small-scale architecture designed for one person.
